Using SpinBrush®
How does SpinBrush work?
SpinBrush works with a series of gears and linkages that turn when a powered motor is switched on. This makes the round upper brush head turn back and forth (oscillate) quickly.

How long should I brush my teeth using SpinBrush?
For best results, we recommend brushing your teeth for 2 minutes. Using a battery-powered toothbrush won't necessarily cut down on the time, but can make those 2 minutes more effective.

How do I clean my SpinBrush?
To clean your SpinBrush toothbrush, just rinse the head and neck of the brush with water after use. Point the head down and try not to get water in the switch area when cleaning the brush. Don't soak it in water. SpinBrush is water resistant but not waterproof. Soaking the brush in water could damage the batteries and the electronic parts inside the handle. We don't recommend using alcohol or products that contain alcohol to clean the brush.
Also, periodically, remove the head and rinse out the inside of the head and wipe any toothpaste off the head connector.
The Pro Recharge handle and base should be wiped clean. Do not immerse in water.

How do I replace the batteries?
The battery compartment is at the base of the brush handle. For the Pro Clean, Pro Whitening and Pro Select, twist as you pull the battery door on the bottom of the brush and remove it. If you have difficulty, we suggest holding the brush head side in one hand, the battery side in the other and motion as if you are breaking spaghetti.
For Kids brushes, first remove the screw before changing the battery. Remove screw with eye glass screw drivers (#0 or #1 size).
For Slim, turn the battery cap clockwise and then pull down.
For Pro Recharge, the batteries cannot be replaced.

How long will my batteries last?
How long the batteries in your SpinBrush last depends on how you use it. If you brush for two minutes twice a day, we expect the batteries in your SpinBrush to last about four to six weeks. If water gets into the battery area, the batteries may stop working sooner.

Even after storing the Crest SpinBrush for five years, the batteries should keep about 80% of their power. You'll want to make sure you store your SpinBrush in a dry environment, at room temperature. It's best to remove the battery if storing for a long period of time.

How often should I change my SpinBush?
Dental professionals recommend replacing your toothbrush every three months or earlier if the bristles become spread out. For brushes with replaceable heads, we recommend the toothbrush head be replaced after three months of use, due to normal wear. For brushes with non-replaceable heads, we recommend the toothbrush be fully replaced after three months, due to normal wear. In addition, we recommend you replace the brush or brush head anytime you've had a cold or have been sick.

How does my SpinBrush Pro Whitening help whiten teeth?
Crest Spinbrush Pro Whitening has an innovative bristle design that gently polishes away stains as it cleans. Here's how it works: The oscillating head bristle is shaped like the prophy cup your dentist uses to polish your teeth. This cup-like shape holds more paste on the surface of your teeth for better cleaning. The sparkly whitening bristles also help to remove stains and plaque.
